VELFAC & Rationel composite windows combine low-maintenance external aluminium with natural internal timber, and are renowned for their contemporary style, impressive durability, excellent insulation, and secure and sustainable design. The slim frame maximises natural light, and uniform sightlines give every unit an identical external appearance.

Proven to withstand the most extreme weather conditions, the external aluminium frame also never needs repainting for the lifetime of the installation.
VELFAC windows offer U-values as low as 0.8W/m2K for triple glazed units. The slim frame contributes to excellent thermal insulation, as glass is a better insulator than the frame.
The standard VELFAC frame features polyester-powder coated external aluminium and painted or lacquered internal timber. The frame can be finished in different colours inside and out in any of the full range of RAL colours.
Rationel products are split into two systems AURA & FORMA, AURA windows are perfect for modern and contemporary homes. The sleek, flat frame offers clean lines and a flush finish. FORMA windows are designed to complement British architecture, using bevelled edges and angled glazing beads, which make these windows the ideal fit for period properties. Both are available with an aluminium clad external face for low maintenance or solid wood for a more traditional look.
With an expected lifetime of 60 years, AURA and FORMA windows offer impressive durability. For added peace of mind, and for more demanding locations, choose AURAPLUS or FORMAPLUS. Both feature an aluminium-clad external frame which adds 20+ years of life span to your windows, which creates a low maintenance window.
Rationel windows are manufactured to order so make every window your own. Choose from a range of different opening types, and from an impressive palette of colours and finishes – you can even select a different colour inside and out. And don’t forget the glass – if you need more privacy or security, greater solar control, better noise protection, or even brightly coloured panels, we have the options to choose from.

VELFAC & Rationel has been designing and manufacturing windows for over 60 years. Our window system has been independently tested to ensure a lifespan of 40 years or more.
